..Done a bit of floating around on boats, i like it, i like sailing and being out sea, i worked on a few of them too, met some A grade legends, up there is Captain James Saddington, he tried to teach me everything he knew but i left him in the south pacific and it was one of the hardest things i have ever done. sailed loads, spewed twice and laughed a lot, my mission was to become the master of my own ship and stay afloat travel, surf my nugg off ''i don‘t know where this dirty road is taking me and sometimes i dont know the reasons why, well i guess keep a gambling lots of booze an lots of rambling, well it easier the just a waiting round to die - that was Townes Van Zandt.
Then during a trip to Ireland, one of my many and always so inspired by the people and the places there i started to plant trees, grow food and started helping a community project with some very special human beings. I found it hard to leave this so after yacht delivery from San Fran to The Caribbean instead of buying a boat and floating around the world i went back to Co Clare and now call it home. With these wonderful people we started a community garden and Organic Farm and have commited to planting thousands of trees.

WA in 2004 a was chatting to a friend about what i was going to spend my future doing, travelling. what about when you have a family and when Oil runs out. This was my first realisation about natural resources and out being environmentally conscious. It was then i decided to sail.

That Summer I hitch hiked to the South of France from the UK, then from Fiji to Indonesia. I got back to the UK and a friend and I bought a boat like this and planed to go to North Africa. It didn't work out, i didn't know how to sail around the world and the boat wasn't built for it. Late one night at a festival a woman i had grown up with was talking with me and her partner sailed big boats and said there was the possibility to get paid, they would bring me up to speed and i could live and work with them. With them i spent almost 3 years, it changed me forever, i had planned on staying a year, saving enough to buy a sea worthy vessel and train to get my  Yacht Masters ticket. I my wind faring family in the Pacific Ocean with a heavy heart .

Now i use a little boat and plod around the west Irish coast and run surf trips in the Indian Ocean for a Aussie Travel Company Liquid destination, they know the Maldives like no other operation and i really respect they love they have for their pocket of the world.

Soil

I was born by the sea, i knew nothing about soil, about how important it is, about how happy it can make you and about how to look after it. Ireland, and the people here have taught me so much about how to live in the natural world, before when i was sailing, i knew i could look after my self, but i was dependant on unnatural factors. Growing food, planting trees has opened my little world up, it is one of the most significant experiences of my life, something so simple, so natural. I now life with friends, growing food for us and the community. In 2014 - 2015 we planted a hell of a lot of trees and grew a load of food.

2016 will be another year of growth. and i am excited.

Waves

In the Ocean its the air you breath, the slowing down and being in the moment.. My father just learnt to swim, at 58. He was in the merchant navy and couldn't swim, he and my mother made sure i could and i haven't been too far away from the big blue since. surfing has taken me to the farthest reaches of my conscious from utter elation to near drowning, i met my partner under a cliff swimming. My closest friends share the connection with the masterless ocean.
